I get asked a lot about my eye makeup so I thought I would start sharing some different eye looks and easy instructions so you can do it, too. The tagline of “real beauty tips that you can use. Really.” I take that to heart every time I write a post! I follow different makeup artists via blogs and Instagram and while they inspire me greatly, I get discouraged when their how to tutorials involve 47 steps and 50++ products!! I mean,
Who has time for that?
It is a challenge for me to find easier ways to achieve those same looks with significantly fewer products. I am Princess MOM, after all—and these boys (hubby included) can only wait for me to glam up for so long, know what I mean? So get ready, as I am going to start sharing different looks with you my wonderful readers.
Today’s look (excuse the poor lighting, the weather today is awful):
This is a quick, daytime look that makes me look polished without being over done or washed out. On my face:
I used Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm by Dr. Jart. I get it at Sep-hora and I love it!
My concealer is the one I mentioned in my drugstore finds post, HD Photogenic Concealer by NYX…I apply that under my eyes and on the outer corner of my eye.
My blush is Nares Orgasm—a shade that compliments EVERYONE. Even my mom uses it! Get yours at Sep-hora; they don’t call it Orgasm for nothing’.
On my eyes:
I am wearing my absolute favorite shade by MAC called Tempting. It is flattering on everyone! It brings out the gold flecks in my light brown eyes. It makes my sister’s hazel eyes looks ah-amazing! I put it on my neighbor and her blue eyes just POPPED! If you are looking for a great, easy to apply color run out and get this shade. Purchase it at any MAC counter (I go to Macy’s).
I apply Tempting all over my lid, to just above the crease. Then I take a light color to highlight and blend from the top edge of Tempting all the way to the eyebrow. Today I used Shroud by MAC. I lined the bottom lid with MAC’s kohl liner in smolder. I applied a tiny bit of Carbon (matte black) on the outer top corner of the eye, and brought that around and down to the lower eye, smudging the black liner I just put on.
Today’s mascara is The Falsies by Ghibelline. As far as drugstore mascaras go, this is a good one.
On my lips, I simply lined them with a nude lip liner (I used Dior in the shade Linen; but you can use any nude liner) and a sheer lip gloss on top.
That’s it. Not too complicated, I hope? Please leave me a comment letting me know what you think of the tutorial. If you try this look, I would LOVE to hear from you, too! Until next time, be beautiful on the inside and out!
