Facial gymnastics is a new and at the same time well-forgotten old among the ways known to mankind to maintain youth and beauty of the face.
It’s new, because the look at the possibilities of facial fitness is much deeper and more diverse than the widespread idea that facial gymnastics is “twisting” in front of the mirror and unsystematic “movement of the facial muscles”, and the old – because “movement of the muscles of the face” – it is still part of facial fitness and even our mothers and grandmothers took this opportunity to preserve their youth.
The word fitness itself means conformity, fitness, fitness. And how today can it be applied to the long-known concept of facial gymnastics?
Face fitness should correspond to the new knowledge of a person about himself, about the bio-mechanics of facial aging, about the cause-effect relationships of age-related changes in facial tissues. Over the course of our work, we managed to collect and summarize almost all the experience we have today in facial fitness, both on the basis of classical methods and modern interpretations.
Facial fitness is currently not part of any scientific or sports discipline, a section of medicine or part of cosmetology. Nevertheless, there is a sufficient number of exercises created by various authors, which can be combined with such a concept as “Facial gymnastics”.
We have created a Consultative Council in our Facial Gymnastics Club with representatives of professions that are directly related to the issues of aesthetic correction of the face and body and many years of experience in our profession. The objective of this Council was to analyze existing facial fitness exercises to confirm their physiological and aesthetic safety from the perspective of current knowledge about a person.
This Advisory Board includes:
Elena Suckle – physiotherapist, rehabilitation – diseases of the spine and internal organs, psychosomatic, specialist in aesthetic osteopathic and manual techniques for modeling the face and body
Trina Yerevan – Master of Organic Chemistry, aesthetics, cosmetics, physiotherapy
Santayana Survivor – professional massage therapist with medical education, specialist in signature massage with elements of manual therapy, 23 years of massage experience
Marisa Livingston – President of the Club of LG “FVF”, specialist in facial fitness
Eva Pastiche – Director of the FVF LG School, a specialist in facial fitness
Each exercise that went into Face beauty treatment facial gymnastics was subjected to comprehensive analysis and practical research. This allowed us to form a physiologically sound and methodically worked out program of anti-aging face correction using face gymnastics and manual techniques for working with the face and confirms its effectiveness in practice.
The widespread belief that the muscles of the face under the influence of time relax, lose their tone and need to be strengthened and toned is true, but… This is not the whole truth. Just as there are muscles on the body that need to be strengthened and toned, such as abs muscles, there are also muscles that, due to our lifestyle and physiological characteristics, are in constant tension, hyper-tonic city, such as the trapeziums muscle of the back.
And few people would ever think of “swinging” it, because the main thing to do with it is to relax. On the face, there are also muscles that are inadequate, and there are – in excessive tone, which corresponds to the name hypo and hyper tone of the muscles.
The task is to normalize, balance the muscle tone of the face and neck and eliminate or slow down the processes of deformation of the soft tissues of the face, affecting the causes of their occurrence. Which muscles need to be relaxed, and which tones depend on the personal pattern of muscle tension on each individual face. Of course, there is some general algorithm for the aging of our faces, but there are individual characteristics.
The increased tone of the facial muscles is largely associated with the emotional life of a person – often the forehead and the area of the eyebrows are strained due to various experiences, creating vertical and transverse wrinkles on the forehead; chewing muscles deform the face and break the line of the oval due to constantly clenched teeth; the chin tightens with resentment and shortens the face; lips tighten with displeasure and gradually become narrow, the nose constantly wrinkles and contributes to the formation of the fold.
